Yes, the bus is a 1972 but came from the factory with the updated marker lights in the front but has the early style front bumper with the step. It was a split year produced bus. Unusual for sure. Very solid bus with no rust repair needed anywhere except the front floor boards. As shown in pictures it has some rust through in the driver and passenger floorboards.
